Udda Downloader is a download manager for Windows that splits every file across several connections at once, so it arrives at the full speed your connection allows. If the internet drops or you close the program, it resumes from the same point instead of starting over. Even when a link expires, give it a new link to the same file and it carries on.

It sorts your downloads into folders by type automatically: programs, video, audio, documents and archives. It captures video and audio from websites at the quality you choose, and receives links straight from your browser.

After a download: it verifies the file's checksum to confirm it's intact, extracts archives automatically with Udda Archive, and warns you if a file was already downloaded. When all downloads finish, it can shut down your PC or put it to sleep.

Fast, reliable downloads

Every file is split into parallel parts: 16 connections per download by default, and 5 downloads at once, with the rest waiting their turn.
Pause and resume; an unfinished download continues where it stopped, even after closing the app.
A total speed limit, and a limit for each download.
Automatic retry after a failure, with clear error messages.
Paste many links at once, each checked before it downloads, with a choice when the file exists: rename, replace, or skip.

Video and audio capture

From YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Vimeo, and Dailymotion, and any other page can be tried with "Capture video".
Quality: best, 1080p, 720p, or 480p, each with its expected size.
Picture and sound download together, then get joined.
Audio only as MP3, or the original audio.
Update the video capture tool from Settings when sites change.

With your browser

An extension for Chrome and Edge hands downloads to the app by file type and size; hold Alt while clicking to leave a download to the browser.
"Download with Udda Downloader" and "Capture video" in the right-click menu.
The extension passes cookies and the source page, so protected downloads work.
A floating download button over pictures, videos, and audio, which can be turned off for a site.

Categories and scheduling

Ready-made categories: Programs, Video, Audio, Documents, Compressed, and Other, each with its own folder.
Your own categories with an Arabic and an English name, an icon, a colour, a folder, and site rules.
Search and filters: All, Active, Paused, Completed, and Errors, with a details panel showing the parts map and speed.
Scheduling: start and stop times and days of the week, and when the queue is done: shut down, sleep, or quit.

On the desktop

Small windows for file information, download progress with its parts, and completion with "Open" and "Open folder".
Clipboard watching: copy a file link and the app offers to download it.
Runs next to the clock, keeps downloading after the window closes, and can start with Windows.
Windows notifications when a download finishes or fails.
A full right-to-left Arabic interface and English, with light and dark themes.

Your data stays safe

Settings, categories, and the download list are saved with 3 backups, and a damaged file is repaired automatically.
"Import existing files" puts finished files back on the list.
Data from the earlier Sayl is copied over on first start, and the original stays untouched.

How to use

A few simple steps

Step 1: Install

Run the installer; it asks for administrator rights once.
Step 2: Add a link

Click "Add link", paste one or more links, pick the category and folder, then "Start now".
Step 3: Connect your browser

In Settings, under "Browser", open "How to install the extension" and follow its steps in Chrome or Edge.
Step 4: Download a video

Paste the video link or use "Capture video", pick the quality, and the app joins picture and sound.

Requirements

Runs on any modern Windows PC

System

Windows 11, 64-bit.
Administrator rights for installing only.

Browser

The extension is for Chrome, Edge, and Chromium, added in developer mode on the extensions page.

Internet and privacy

It connects only to the download links you add, to video pages when capturing, and to the video tool update when you press its button.
The link between the browser and the app stays on your computer, and there's no tracking.

Signing

The app isn't digitally signed yet, so Windows may show a protection message on first run: choose "More info", then "Run anyway". Check the fingerprint first.
